People’s Choice Awards 2024: da Barbie a The Last of Us, tutti i vincitori

Domenica 18 febbraio sono stati assegnati i People’s Choice Awards 2024. Simu Liu, candidato per la sua interpretazione di uno dei Ken in Barbie, ha presentato i People’s Choice Awards di quest’anno, che sono andati in onda in diretta in contemporanea su NBC, Peacock ed E! dal Barker Hangar di Santa Monica.

Tra i grandi vincitori della serata c’è Barbie di Greta Gerwig, che ha vinto sia come film dell’anno che come commedia dell’anno. I protagonisti del film, Ryan Gosling e Margot Robbie, hanno anche vinto rispettivamente come star maschile e femminile dell’anno. America Ferrera ha vinto per l’interpretazione cinematografica dell’anno.

Per quanto riguarda la televisione, Grey’s Anatomy ha vinto come serie dell’anno, mentre Only Murders in the Building di Hulu ha vinto come serie comica e The Last of Us come serie drammatica.

Barbie ha guidato la classifica delle nomination cinematografiche con nove menzioni, seguito da Oppenheimer, con sei nomination. Nelle categorie televisive, Only Murders in the Building era in testa con sette nomination, seguita da Ted Lasso, The Morning Show e The Last of Us con sei nomination a testa.

Per quanto riguarda la musica, Luke Combs, Nicki Minaj, Morgan Wallen e Taylor Swift erano candidati a cinque premi ciascuno, con Swift nominata per il suo film-concerto The Eras Tour, che era in lizza per il film dell’anno.

Adam Sandler ha ricevuto il People’s Icon Award, presentato da Jennifer Aniston. Sul palco, Aniston ha descritto Sandler come un “fratello nato da un’altra madre” e uno degli “amici più leali che si possano avere”.

“Essere sua amica è stata una delle grandi gioie della mia vita”, ha detto Aniston di Sandler.

Victoria Monét, vincitrice di vari Grammy, ha invece consegnato a Lenny Kravitz il People’s Music Icon Award.

I vincitori sono votati dai fan in 45 categorie che rappresentano cinema, televisione, musica e cultura pop. Per il 2024 sono state inserite nuove categorie: artista country maschile, artista country femminile, artista latino, artista latina e tour musicale.

Durante la cerimonia di domenica 18 febbraio, una miriade di star è salita sul palco per presentare i premi, tra cui Jeremy Renner, Joe Manganiello, Kathryn Hahn, Lucy Hale, Megan Fox, Sydney Sweeney e Monét.
